There are several risers that are Premium Candidates. A Bear Black Bear and a Hoyt Rambo or Spectra are just a few of many that very "Warfable". Most of these are 21 inch risers. Measure between the limb bolts from the inside and add 5 inches,,that will give you the overall length of your riser.

Here is a short list of risers that are good Candidates;

Bear black bear (by far most popular) the rest are in no particular order...
Hoyt Gamegetter (old compound)
Hoyt rambo
Hoyt spectra
Ram hunter (hoyt/easton)
Hoyt Pro Vantage
Jennings Black Lightning,
Proline Typhoon,
Hoyt Gamegetter II (old compound)
Hoyt td3
Hoyt raider
Quinn Stallion (needs machine work to change the pocket angles)
Hoyt Tracker and variants.
Some of the old PSE risers (pockets must be milled to a friendly geometry)
There are several more out there that are warfable,,I have done several wood risers also.

Sam
Which of these risers are 23"?
Have an Excel and a BB both 21" and sometimes feel I would like to try a little longer riser. I shoot 3-D and field archery with a 28' draw.

Hey Max glad to see you here! The best 23 inch riser would be a Hoyt Pro Vantage. The except able risers I have listed are mostly 21's.

Hey Sam, I would like to shoot my bow off the shelf, are there any of the above that would be easier to accommodate that? or any that would be ready to do that?

Thanks

You can actually adapt any of them to shoot off the shelf. You can just add a little JB putty or Bondo to the shelf and smooth it out to make a shelf. I also drill and tap a 5/16'sx24 lower Berger hols to accomadate a Nolt with the head spun against a belt grinder to make it falt and just make the shelf horizontally adjustable. I just add a bit of leather or mole hair and you are ready to go!

Hi there Sam,

Will Samick Sage limbs work with a Jennings Black lightning riser direct fit without modification? If not what fabrication needs to be done to make this bow work, or what limbs will work? Thank you.

Stephen

I have a PSE Precision Edge Riser and was wondering if anyone had info on whether or not this would be a good candidate to Warf and if so, what would the modification needs to be.

Michael, I just found this site, I don't know much about Warfbows other than I want one. Good to see some recent activity. Did you get any answer on your question on your own?
