How did the WarfBow get it's name? Well a Guy named Bob Gordon from Idaho began doing these ILF conversions on several old Compound Risers years ago! Bob named the conversion after his 90 pound Boxer Dog "Warf". Bob converted 1500 plus Risers for people all over the World and I have continued this practice in his absence. Unfortunately Bob lost the sight in one Eye a couple of years ago and thus prevented him from doing conversions. Bob is my friend and I have tried to carry on the method to new heights and innovation. My respect for Bob cannot be overstated!
There may be several "Warfed Risers" out there by different makers but the Craft was passed on to me by Bob Gordon. If you run on to a Warf,,ask who built it? My conversions have come a long way in the last few years and I now use a Milling Machine and a proprietary dovetail cut. I set my riser conversions so the ILF fitting is the primary contact and NOT the limb bolt. I think this is the best possible configuration to eliminate vibration and tuning issues with the ILF limb connection and make a great, strong and reliable set up. I also do DAS conversions on Black Bears and TD3, Rambo/Spectra Risers.
This is all a Hobby and an Interest for me and I have enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for coming to the Site,,enjoy and good Hunting/Shooting.
